COVINGTON, Ga. — The HeritageRail Alliance is seeking nominations for its annual awards. The winners will be announced at the organization’s upcoming conference in Santa Fe, N.M., on Nov. 10.

The categories include the Significant Achievement Award, given to a group that recently accomplished a notable restoration; Lifetime Achievement Award, given to someone to mark a lifelong dedication to the industry; Friend of Railway Preservation Award, given to those who have added the preservation field; and the William Purdie Award, given to those who have made an extra effort to mentor young people.

Nominations can be emailed to Aaron Isaacs at aaronmona@aol.com. The deadline is Sept. 27.
