A number of derailments and collisions were reported across North America over the weekend.

A CSX Transportation derailment in Greenwood County, S.C., on Saturday resulted in a small hazardous leak, according to The State Newspaper. The derailment occurred at Maxwell Yard and resulted in a “small drip” of an unknown hazardous material. The spill did not pose a threat to public safety.

In Alberta, a Canadian Pacific freight train struck a cattle truck sending cows flying. According to witnesses, no cows were killed in the collision near Strome although many of them were wandering around “stunned” after the collision. Local ranchers helped round the animals up.
