Amtrak to run special train to Senior PGA Championship

BENTON HARBOR, Mich. — Amtrak and the Michigan Department of Transportation are partnering with the PGA of America to offer round-trip train transportation to the Senior PGA Championship in Benton Harbor in May.

The special train, on a portion of the route of the Pere Marquette, will leave Chicago at 7:05 CDT, stop at Hammond-Whiting, Ind., at 7:30 a.m., and arrive at Harbor Shores Golf Club, the tournament site, at 10:23 a.m. EDT. The return trip will leave Harbor Shores at 7:16 p.m., arrive at Hammond-Whiting at 8:08 p.m. CDT and at Chicago at 8:41 p.m. CDT.

Round-trip adult tickets are $33 from either Chicago or Hammond-Whiting, with a half-price ticket for children 2-12 available with each adult ticket. Children 17 and under receive free admission to the tournament. For more information, visit Amtrak’s website.
