NEW YORK — In the face of a predicted snow storm in the Northeast, Amtrak officials are warning passengers of modified services across the entire region on March 14.

Acela Express services have been canceled between New York and Boston, and service to Washington will operate on a modified schedule. Northeast Regional trains between Boston and Washington will also run on a modified schedule, with certain trains canceled. This will include services in Virginia.

In addition, Empire Service in New York, and shuttle and Downeaster Service in New England will also run on modified schedules, with certain trains cut back or canceled. Keystone Service between New York, Philadelphia, and Harrisburg, Pa., will operate on a severe weather schedule.

Some Amtrak long distance trains that operate on the Northeast Corridor may also be affected. Service from Albany, N.Y., and Boston on the Lake Shore Limited and the Capitol Limited between Pittsburgh and Washington has been suspended.
