PORTLAND, Ore. – To handle an expected post-Christmas rush, the states of Oregon and Washington will add an extra Amtrak Cascades round trip Dec. 27. The extra train will leave Seattle at 12:30 p.m., arriving in Portland at 4:45 p.m. It will then leave Portland for the return trip to Seattle at 5:45 p.m.
Amtrak Cascades operates four daily round trips between Portland and Seattle; two daily round trips between Seattle and Vancouver, British Columbia; and two daily round trips between Portland and Eugene, Ore. It is funded by the Washington and Oregon departments of transportation and operated by Amtrak.
