SIDNEY, Neb. – Union Pacific's main line is closed Monday morning west of Sidney due to a grade crossing incident and derailment, KNEB-AM reports. Two locomotives and 12 cars on an eastbound train operating between Oregon and Illinois derailed.

The train struck a semi truck that was stalled on the tracks about 2 a.m.

No injuries are reported.

The incident required the closure of parallel U.S. Highway 30 between Sidney and Potter to facilitate cleanup efforts.
