PORTLAND, Ore. – The annual Holiday Express using city-owned steam locomotives Spokane, Portland & Seattle 4-8-4 No. 700 and Southern Pacific 4-8-4 No. 4449 will roll again next month. The trains are operated on the Oregon Pacific Railroad and depart from Oaks Park Station adjacent to Oaks Park in southeast Portland. Proceeds benefit the Oregon Rail Heritage Foundation’s mission to build a new home for Portland’s three steam locomotives. Trains will run Dec. 3-5 and Dec. 10-12.
