Michigan

New Buffalo Railroad Museum

The museum is housed in a replica of a Pere Marquette Depot that stood nearby. It features artifacts and from the Pere Marquette, Chesapeake & Ohio, and CSX. Pullman Company memorabilia is also on display. You can walk through a restored Chessie boxcar and a Pullman troop sleeper, which contains WWII artifacts. It is open daily April through December. Free guided tours are available and donations are accepted.

 

Texas

Ennis Railroad and Cultural Heritage Museum

Housed in a 1915 building, the museum contains railroad memorabilia, dioramas, depot replicas, and china, as well as a variety of cultural exhibits. It is open daily, and a MKT caboose is displayed outside. Nearby, the city's visitor center is located in a former Wells Fargo freight office. A railroad town, Ennis was named after Cornelius Ennis, director of the Houston & Texas Central.
