Q I took a picture of Canadian Wheat Board SD40-2 No. 1002. Do you know why it would be at the Canadian National yard in Homewood, Ill., near Chicago? – William Faehse III, Niles, Ill.

A Midwest U.S. rail observers say No. 1002 was rebuilt and painted at Metro East Industries in East St. Louis, Ill., and was in transit through Chicago on its way to Great Sandhills Railway in Saskatchewan. – Steve Sweeney
