Trains Presents: Big Boy No. 4005 at the Forney Museum

We visit Union Pacific Big Boy No. 4005 at Denver’s Forney Museum of Transportation, one of only two Big Boy locomotives housed inside. It is also the only Big Boy ever converted to burn oil for fuel and the only one to suffer a major derailment. We talk with the Forney’s Al Frank and Kayla Stieber about this famous railroad relic.

For more Big Boy video, check out Big Boy: On the Road to Restoration, a 90-minute DVD showing the history of the largest steam locomotives and the move of No. 4014 from Southern California to Wyoming in 2014.
