PHILADELPHIA — Amtrak is running some Keystone Service trains between Philadelphia and Harrisburg, Pa., on a modified schedule this afternoon and evening, after earlier cancelling trains on that segment because of damage from severe storms east of Harrisburg on Tuesday night.

The railroad says July 4th service will operate as scheduled “subject to some delays while overhead power system and other infrastructure work remains.”

Amtrak also says ticking services at stations will be limited while repairs continue and urges customers to use the Amtrak website, Amtrak smartphone apps or 800-USA-RAIL for e-ticketing. Passengers should also check the website or apps for train status and additional information.

— Updated at 2:30 p.m. CDT on July 3 with resumption of service, July 4th plans.
