SEATTLE — Sound Transit is paying its CEO's leadership coach $550 per hour to help him soften his "East Coast" style.

The Seattle Times reports that a coach from Port Angeles, Wash., is meeting with Sound Transit CEO Peter Rogoff weekly to help him improve his relationship with employees. In March, the agency's board of directors ordered the Rogoff to participate in the coaching after employees reported the CEO using vulgarities and calling workers "lazy."

The newspaper reports that employees are rating their boss more highly in recent months, but that the agency declines to comment on what progress the CEO has made.
