VANCOUVER, British Columbia — The “Voice of God” is lending his talents to Vancouver’s TransLink transit system.

Actor Morgan Freeman, whose roles have included God and an Academy Award-winning part in the 2005 film “Million Dollar Baby,” has recorded a series of announcements for use on Vancouver’s transit system, including the SkyTrain system, through June 29.

The 14 announcements all include mention of Vancouver’s new tap-to-pay credit card system — Freeman is taking part because of his current role in Visa advertisements — as well as facts about Vancouver and basic transit etiquette (“Remember what your mom used to say: Please keep your feet off the furniture.”)

You can hear a sample of one of Freeman’s announcements here.
