WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. — Metro-North commuters will soon see millions of dollars in upgrades to one of the railroad's busiest stations.

New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority officials say in a recent news release that the agency will spend a portion of $135 million in Metro-North station improvement funds to make walkways and entrances more accessible for disabled passengers; install wood ceilings on station platforms, add glass-enclosed waiting areas, refurbished bathrooms, and security cameras.

Officials expect the station upgrades to be complete by 2020.
