LANSING, Mich.  — Amtrak and the Michigan Department of Transportation are combining to offer additional service to the Holland, Mich., “Tulip Time Festival” in May, allowing same-day round trips to the event.

On May 5 and May 12, the trains will depart Chicago at 7:05 a.m., make a stop at Hammond-Whiting, Ind., at 7:30 a.m., and make intermediate stops in St. Joseph and Bangor before arriving in Holland at 11:29 a.m. The return trip will depart Holland at 5:50 p.m., arriving in Chicago at 8:24 p.m.
