CLEVELAND — Leaders with the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen are putting out calls for operating crews interested in participating in April courses on hazardous materials training and local union leadership.

The brotherhood will host a Rail Workers Hazardous Materials Training Program for railroaders located in Arizona, western New Mexico, and southeastern California in Winslow, Ariz., April 9 to 13.

The five day program includes course work on chemical emergency response and Occupational Safety and Hazard Administration awareness training.

The brotherhood also says spots are available for a Local Chairman training course at the union's headquarters in Independence, Ohio, just south of Cleveland's steel mill corridor, April 8 to 13.
