LOS ANGELES — All seven Class I railroads will present their capital spending plans for this year at the 2018 National Railroad Construction & Maintenance Association conference, which begins this morning at the J.W. Marriott Hotel at L.A. Live.

Kevin Hicks, Union Pacific’s associate vice president, engineering-design, will announce UP’s capital program to open the conference. Canadian Pacific will also announce its plans today. Norfolk Southern and Canadian National will present on Friday, while CSX, Kansas City Southern and BNSF Railway will announce their plans on Saturday.

Others presenting their plans include major shortline holding companies — Genesee & Wyoming, Watco, and OmniTRAX — along with a number of commuter rail agencies.

Trains News Wire will report on the railroad announcements throughout the conference.

Information about the conference is available online.
