SARNIA, Ontario — A new locomotive fleet sporting lots of blue is beginning to take shape in otherwise red-and-black Canadian National territory.

The first of leased units CN told shareholders and shippers it would take on to handle surging traffic are showing up now in Southern Ontario. In the photo above, ES44AC No. 1346 leads a CN train 509 near Sarnia in early January. Locals expect to see additional CitiRail and GECX, or GE Capital, units in the coming weeks.
