HOUSTON — Twin Eagle Sand Logistics has purchased a rail-served frac sand terminal near Bridgeport, W.Va., company officials say. The terminal can handle more than 130 railcars and 20,000 tons of flat and silo storage space.

The facility is located on CSX Transportation’s former Baltimore & Ohio line connecting Parkersburg, W.Va., with Grafton, W.Va. The north-central West Virginia site is near multiple Utica and Marcellus shale oil and gas operations.

Twin Eagle’s purchase of the Bridgeport site expands its entire sand terminal capacity to more than 1,600 railcar spaces and nearly 85,000 tons of storage capacity.
