JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Florida East Coast Railway outperformed all other rail and intermodal service providers in performance, according to the results of Logistics Management magazine’s annual quest for quality survey.

According to the magazine, actual readers of the magazine determined their preferred rail or intermodal service provider through a series of surveyed questions. The magazine’s clientele include logistics companies, shippers, and other transportation industry businesses.

According to FEC, the quest for quality survey examines transportation and logistics service providers on criteria that focus on customer satisfaction and performance excellence.

The awards program is the culmination of a six-month research project conducted by Peerless Research Group. For more than three decades, the award system has been regarded in the transportation and logistics industry as the go-to source for customer satisfaction and performance excellence.

The survey received more than 5,400 responses from freight companies.

FEC management will formally accept the award during an awards gala a supply chain conference in late September.
