WASHINGTON — Operation Lifesaver’s first-ever rail safety week is fewer than five weeks away and in preparation for the weeklong event, the non-profit educational organization is hosting a webinar on Tuesday, Aug. 29.

Those interested in learning more about rail safety week and its activities are encouraged to participate in the webinar beginning at 1 p.m. Eastern. A sign-up form is required to confirm attendance, followed up with a confirmation email with webinar access information.

The organization’s rail safety week will take place Sept. 24 to 30 with the goal to raise awareness about railroad safety and education and empower the public to stay safe at railroad grade crossing and around railroad property.
