PLEASANT PRAIRIE, Wis. — On Aug. 4, Amtrak was testing a new SC-44 Charger on the Hiawatha corridor between Chicago and Milwaukee. Here Amtrak P42 No. 72 leads SC-44 No. 4613 on the six car train. On the rear is Amtrak cab car No. 90368 wearing a fresh coat of paint and P42 No. 126 on the rear. Four units is rare for this train, even during testing. Also unusual is the cab car is normally on the east end of the train.
