FORT WORTH, Texas — Rail dispatching company Nebraska Central Dispatching Services has been renamed to Rio Grande Pacific Dispatch to better reflect its affiliation with parent company Rio Grande Pacific Corp.

The company, which specializes in around-the-clock rail industry dispatching services, originated as part of the Nebraska Central Railroad, a 340-mile short line railroad in Nebraska.

A decision to relocate the company’s dispatching center to Fort Worth last year prompted the rebranding effort and new logo design.

Trey Meyer, vice president of operations, says the rebranding of its dispatching services component will help unify and simplify the organization.

“We’re proud to be a part of the [Rio Grande Pacific] family, and we wanted the new logo and the name to reflect that,” says Meyer.

Headquartered in Fort Worth, Rio Grande Pacific Corp. is a holding company for short line and regional railroads with additional services in signal construction and design, passenger operations, equipment re-manufacturing, and dispatching services. Its clients include short line railroads and transit agencies in the United States.
