WASHINGTON — Operation Lifesaver Inc. has named five new members to the non-profit organization’s board of directors. The new representatives include Class I and short line and regional railroad executives and safety managers. The new board members are:

• John Allberry, General Director Safety, Union Pacific
• Steven Covey, Chief of Police and Chief Security Officer, Canadian National.
• Kenneth Glover, senior vice president, safety & compliance, Genesee & Wyoming.
• John A. Irwin, Assistant Vice President Safety and Environmental/Chief Safety Officer, Norfolk Southern
• Mark A. Schulze, Vice President, Safety, Training and Operations support, BNSF Railway
• Jeffrey M. Songer, Chief Operating Officer/Executive Vice President, Kansas City Southern

Operation Lifesaver Board Chair Robert C. VanderClute says he welcomes the new representatives to the organization’s board and looks forward to working with the individuals to raise safety awareness across the country.
