LOS ANGELES — Metrolink is inviting the public to attend a June 23 hearing on its proposed annual budget for its 2018 fiscal year.

The proposed budget contains a financial plan of goals and objectives for the upcoming fiscal year, including investments in positive train control technology and a comprehensive state of good repair maintenance program. Metrolink says the proposed budget does not rely on fare increases, and increases service on holidays and new maintenance and rehabilitation initiatives.

Community members seeking more information on Metrolink’s proposed budget or those interested in providing their own input are encouraged to attend the agency’s 10 a.m. meeting on June 23 at the Metro building at One Gateway Plaza in Los Angeles.

According to the agency, the Metrolink board of directors must adopt a final budget no later than June 30 of each year.
