WSP USA names Arens central region business manager

Barbara Arens
DETROIT — WSP USA, formerly known as WSP Parsons Brinckerhoff, has named Barbara Arens as central region business manager of transportation and infrastructure. In her new role, Arens will manage the firm’s transportation operations in the 16 states representing the central region.

Some of the firm’s recent projects include the Cincinnati Bell Connector streetcar project and other transportation related projects in Chicago and Cleveland.

Arens joined the firm in 1994 and has served in several operational management roles. She has also managed the firm’s national traffic engineering technical resource center and has served as project manager and lead transportation engineer on numerous projects.

WSP USA is an international engineering and professional service firms that provide engineering plans, technical assistance, strategic advice, and construction management on transit related projects including light rail, streetcar, and other rail transit systems.
