LOS ANGELES — Santa Fe 4-8-4 No. 3751 is scheduled to make an appearance at Los Angeles Union Station in July for summer train fest, officials with the San Bernardino Railroad Historical Society recently announced.

The July 15 event will feature static displays of the Northern-type 4-8-4 on track No. 15 and will be accompanied by three passenger cars also available for public display. The cars include the 1949-built Overland Trail lounge car, the 1950-built Pacific Trail long-distance chair car, and former Canadian National business car Tioga Pass.

Amtrak and Metrolink are also expected to have equipment on display for the event.

According to the San Bernardino Railroad Historical Society, Santa Fe No. 3751 is tentatively scheduled to arrive at Los Angeles Union Station on the evening of July 14 and once the event is over, No. 3751 will head back to the Redondo turntable.

According to the society, the locomotive will also be staged for a night photography session around the Redondo turntable for a group of 30 photographers. The society plans to release additional information in the near future on the details of the night photo event.
