WASHINGTON — Surface Transportation Board Acting Chairman Ann D. Begemann has named Rachel D. Campbell as the agency’s regulatory reform officer. Campbell will lead the board’s effort to identify rules and practices that are unnecessary or outdated, and to recommend how they should be modified.

The designation of a new regulatory reform officer is consistent with an executive order issued by President Donald Trump on regulatory reform and process review initiatives.

Campbell served as the agency's director of the office of proceedings leading up to her recent designation.
