Fredrik Eliasson, CSX chief marketing officer
CSX Corp.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Fredrik Eliasson’s tenure as president of CSX Transportation didn’t last long.

Eliasson, who has been the railroad’s chief marketing officer, was named president on Feb. 21, when the railroad announced that CEO Michael Ward and President Clarence Gooden would step down at the end of May and it was unclear whether E. Hunter Harrison would become CEO.

Harrison, who became CEO on March 6, also has assumed the title of president, CSX noted in a regulatory filing on Wednesday.

That bumps Eliasson back to executive vice president and chief sales and marketing officer. As president Eliasson had continued to handle sales and marketing duties.

“There were no compensation adjustments associated with these title changes,” CSX said in its filing. Eliasson had received a raise when he was promoted to president.
