MONTREAL — Canadian National is honoring 32 customers for sustainability efforts through its EcoConnexions partnership program. The program recognizes companies that pledge to reduce their carbon emissions and increase energy efficiency.

The 32 business partners under the railroad’s recognition plan range from logistics and energy companies to PepsiCo Canada, and forestry products customers.

Some of the initiatives under the railroad’s environmental program include a recent effort to plant 1,000,000 trees this spring in recognition of the customers’ efforts to lower emissions. The railroad regularly partners with other groups in Canada on tree-planting initiatives and other similar projects.
