Pocatello, Idaho – Union Pacific is consolidating its Pocatello management unit with its existing Portland and Utah service units effective April 1. The restructuring will result in the relocation of five management positions.

The railroad says there is a greater need for the managers to be in other areas of the network when the railroad’s marketplace is changing.

While the railroad is removing some of its managers from the Idaho terminal, engineering, mechanical, maintenance, and train crews will still continue to use the Pocatello facilities.

Pocatello is located on the railroad’s main line between Portland, Ore., and Salt Lake City, Utah, in southeastern Idaho.
