WABTEC
WILMERDING, Pa. — Wabtec Corp. has purchased Aero Transportation Products, a company that sells about $40 million worth of engineered freight car parts each year. The company makes hatch covers and outlet gates for freight cars used mostly in the U.S.

Wabtec managers believe that in purchasing the company, it will help expand their freight car component business in international markets, including railroad industry companies in Australia and South America.

Financial terms of the purchase were not disclosed.
