SEATTLE — Sound Transit officials say they've hired Julie Honeywell, a human resources expert, as one of the transit agency's executives. In her new position, Honeywell will work to expand light rail service and public transit options in the Seattle region.

Prior to joining the agency, she served as the chief human resources officer for a Seattle-based building and sustainability consulting firm. She has held other roles in human resources throughout her career.

Honeywell has a master of business administration degree with a focus on organizational development and design. She also has a bachelor's degree in organizational development.
