GREEN BAY, Wis. — Schneider and CSX Transportation have agreed upon a new multi-year rail contract in which the railroad will continue to be the company’s primary rail provider in the east.

CSX has been hauling orange-and-black Schneider trailers since the two companies first partnered in 2008. Since then, the transportation giants have worked together to increase intermodal traffic between the Midwest and eastern markets, including the development of the railroad’s northwest Ohio intermodal facility in North Baltimore, Ohio.

Schneider also ships its containers with BNSF Railway in the west, as well as Canadian and Mexican border-crossings with Canadian National and Kansas City Southern railroads.
