WASHINGTON — Public and private sector officials in the transportation industry will serve on a new advisory committee focused on transportation automation. The U.S. Department of Transportation is administering the new committee.

The group will have its first meeting on Jan. 16 to discuss some of the most important matters facing the transportation industry today, according to the agency.

The committee is comprised of 25 members, including CEOs, educators, and other representatives with regulatory and transportation backgrounds.
