CLEWISTON, Fla. — Mark today as one sweet day for steam railroading now that U.S. Sugar Corp. has taken possession of former Florida East Coast 4-6-2 No. 148. The locomotive arrived in south Florida this morning after a nearly 2,000-mile journey from Colorado. Sugar company officials say they plan to restore the former passenger and later sugar-hauling locomotive to operating condition and pull excursion trains in the region.
