SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Photographers will have the chance to learn more about lighting techniques and other digital photography tips on the grounds of the California State Railroad Museum on Oct. 14 to 15.

The Trains and Tripods photo event and lighting seminar will instruct photographers on how to use existing light in low-light settings. Dave Henry, a former newspaper photographer for the Sacramento Bee and Canon USA instructor will lead the Friday evening seminar from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on museum grounds.

On Saturday, photographers are asked to bring their own tripods for a photo workshop that will take place inside the museum from 7 to 9:30 a.m.

Space is limited to only 50 photographers and advanced registration is required. Friday evening’s event costs $35 and the Saturday’s workshop is a separate $35. Both events can be purchased for a discounted price of $60.
