SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. — A California passenger rail project will be getting some help from a design and engineering consultancy firm. RailPros, a rail industry engineering and project management firm says it has hired CH2M to assist with the development and implementation of the Redlands passenger rail project for the San Bernardino-area.

The subcontractor will provide planning, coordination, risk assessment and management services for the project. CH2M will also help the transit agency acquire passenger cars and conduct a fare collection system study.

CH2M is a consulting, design, engineering, and management solutions company with more than $5 billion in annual revenue.

The Redlands passenger rail project is a proposed 9-mile passenger link connecting San Bernardino with the Redlands area of southern California.
