SAN JOSE, Calif. – The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority will operate a historic trolley for the holiday season over its light rail lines. Car No. 2001 was built in Milan, Italy, in 1928 where it operated until the mid-1980s. It is one of six restored trolleys maintained by the agency.

The car will operate between the Civic Center and San Jose Diridon light rail stations, and the ride is free.

The car will operate Friday, Saturdays, and Sundays through Dec. 27. Service will run Fridays from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 2:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. The car will not operate on Dec. 5, Dec. 20, and Dec. 26, or during Levi’s Stadium events.
